Myth vs Fact is designed to be an engaging, offline-friendly trivia experience. Fact: We care about your privacy. Your gameplay progress, Category Mastery statistics, and Premium feature unlocks are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal identification to play, learn, and bust myths!
ShekTech ("we," "us," or "our") built the Myth vs Fact app as a Freemium game. This SERVICE is provided by ShekTech at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to play our game.
Information Collection and Use
Currently, Myth vs Fact operates without displaying third-party advertisements. The core functionality of the game relies on localized data. However, the app is distributed through platforms that may collect basic diagnostic data (such as crash logs) or provide necessary backend services for cross-platform availability and purchase verification.
Game Save Data and Local Progress
Myth vs Fact features offline play capabilities. Your trivia progression, truth-seeking score, category mastery, and unlocked Premium tracking features are saved locally on your device. We do not transmit, collect, or store this localized gameplay data on external servers unless you explicitly utilize a cloud-save backup feature provided natively by your respective platform (e.g., Google Play Games or Apple Game Center).
In-App Purchases
Our app offers in-app purchases, such as upgrading to Premium features to unlock detailed progress tracking and stats. All payments, billing, and transactions are handled securely and directly by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any of your financial information, such as credit card numbers or banking details. Your transaction history and payment details are governed entirely by the privacy policies of the respective app stores.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our Service and for legitimate business purposes.
How to delete your data: Because your gameplay data and statistics are stored locally on your device, you can permanently delete this data at any time simply by uninstalling the Myth vs Fact app or clearing the app's cache and data in your device's system settings. Children's Privacy
While Myth vs Fact is designed to be fun and educational for all ages, our Services do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
Log Data and Security
Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error or crash in the game, we may collect data and information (through standard App Store and Google Play developer tools) on your phone called Log Data. This may include your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, and the time and date of your use. We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your data, but remember that no method of electronic storage on a mobile device is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new trivia categories, features, or updates. Please note: While Myth vs Fact is currently ad-free, we reserve the right to introduce third-party advertisements in future updates to support the app's development. If we integrate ad networks (such as Google AdMob) that require data tracking, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and notify you by posting the new policy on this page.
