ShekTech ("we," "us," or "our") built the MathCanvas app as a Freemium application. This SERVICE is provided by ShekTech at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

Information Collection and Use

While using our Service, we do not require you to provide us with directly identifiable personal information (such as your name or email) to utilize the core mathematical engine. However, the app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify your device, track crashes, or provide necessary backend services for cross-platform availability (iOS and Android).

Local Storage and Mathematical Engine

MathCanvas functions as a high-level mathematical engine. All computations—including matrix algebra, calculus limit evaluations, series summations, and live textbook formatting—are executed using your device's native processing power. Your 9 independent workspaces, custom variables, and exact zoom levels are saved entirely on your device's local storage.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Our app offers in-app purchases, including auto-renewable subscriptions, to unlock premium features (MathCanvas Pro) or remove advertisements. All payments and transactions are handled securely and directly by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We do not collect, process, or store any of your financial information, such as credit card numbers or banking details. Your transaction history, subscription management, and payment details are governed entirely by the privacy policies and terms of the respective app stores. You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your device's account settings.

Analytics and App Usage Tracking

To understand our user base, analyze the quality of our features, and improve the overall functionality of the app, we use Google Analytics for Firebase. This service collects anonymized usage data, such as which screens you view (e.g., Calculator, Graph 2D, Study Mode) and which specific mini-games you play. This helps us identify technical issues and plan future updates. Google Analytics for Firebase may collect device identifiers, session durations, and general app interaction metrics. We do not link this analytics data to your locally stored mathematical workspaces or personal identity.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

To support the development of this professional tool, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the free version of the app. AdMob may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), and other technologies to collect data about your interactions with the app and other apps on your device in order to provide personalized advertising.

Tracking and Advertising Options (iOS & Android)

Depending on your device and location, you have choices regarding personalized advertising:

• iOS Users: Under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, you will be prompted to grant permission before we can track your activity across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising. You can change your preference at any time in your iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
• Android Users: You can opt out of personalized ads by navigating to your device's Settings > Google > Ads, and selecting "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID."
• EU/UK/EEA Users (GDPR): If you are located in a region governed by GDPR or similar data protection regulations, you will be presented with a consent form upon launching the app, allowing you to choose whether to accept personalized or non-personalized ads.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide you with our Service and for legitimate business purposes.

How to delete your data: Because your mathematical history and workspaces are stored locally on your device, you can delete this data at any time simply by uninstalling the MathCanvas app or clearing the app's cache and data in your device's system settings. Children's Privacy

While MathCanvas is an educational tool, our Services do not specifically address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.

Log Data and Security

Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error or crash in the app, we may collect data and information (through standard App Store and Google Play developer tools) on your phone called Log Data. This may include your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, and the time and date of your use. We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your data, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new mathematical features, engine upgrades, or updates. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
