Life Atlas is built with strict privacy in mind—offline by default, with no unnecessary data tracking. Your life map, journal notes, weekly reflections, and earned milestones are strictly private. All of this highly personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not read, transmit, or sell your life timeline to anyone.
ShekTech ("we," "us," or "our") built the Life Atlas app as a Free application. This SERVICE is provided by ShekTech at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
Information Collection and Use
Currently, Life Atlas operates completely free of advertisements and in-app purchases. The core functionality of the app relies entirely on localized data. We do not require you to create an account or provide directly identifiable personal information (such as your name or email) to use the app.
However, the app is distributed through platforms that may collect basic diagnostic data, such as crash logs or download statistics, to ensure the app functions correctly across different devices.
Local Storage and Private Data
Life Atlas is designed for self-reflection and personal achievement. The data you enter into the app—including your date of birth (used solely to generate your 80-year timeline grid), your journal entries, milestones, and weekly check-ins—is processed and stored locally on your device's internal memory. We do not host this data on external servers or databases.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because your Life Atlas data is entirely decentralized and kept on your own device, you have complete control over its retention.
How to delete your data: You can permanently delete all your life timeline data, journal entries, and milestones at any time simply by uninstalling the Life Atlas app from your device or by clearing the app's data in your device's system settings. Because we do not store your data on our servers, uninstalling the app will result in the immediate and permanent loss of your timeline unless you have manually backed it up through your device's native OS backup systems.
Log Data and Security
Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error or crash in the app, we may collect data and information (through standard App Store and Google Play developer consoles) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include generic information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device model, operating system version, and the time and date of the crash. We value your trust in using our app for your personal reflections and strive to protect your data, but please remember that no method of electronic storage on a mobile device is 100% secure against physical theft or unauthorized device access.
Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy (Future Updates)
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features. As we continue to develop Life Atlas, we may introduce optional features in the future, such as cloud backups, in-app purchases, or advertisements. If our data collection practices change to include third-party tracking or payment processing, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and notify you by posting the new policy on this page.
